Alessandro Chiozzi was the first student to graduate from MIBE Pavia University in 2011. After graduating, he started his career as a graduate associate at the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), which at the time included Borsa Italiana among its businesses. After 4 years at the LSEG, Alessandro moved to the UK financial regulator, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), where he spent 7 years working in different roles, and most recently heading the department responsible for the Supervision of European Investment banks; during his time at the FCA, he also spent several years trying to figure out what Brexit meant for the UK financial industry. Since 2022, Alessandro has worked at Citigroup, where he helps the European trading business comply with regulatory requirements and maintain smooth relationships with its regulators.
